Facebook Users Warned of Phishing Scam Offering Free Blue Badges
A new phishing scam targeting Facebook users with promises of free blue verification badges has been identified. The campaign, named AccountDumpling, is linked to a Vietnamese criminal operation and has compromised 30,000 accounts. The scam involves emails that lure users into providing personal information and account credentials under the guise of obtaining a free badge. The attackers use sophisticated techniques to bypass email security measures, exploiting platforms like Google AppSheet to deliver phishing emails.
