Hell's Kitchen Restaurant Sesamo Faces Financial Struggles Amid Gas Service Disruption
Sesamo, a restaurant in Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan, has been operating without gas service since April, significantly impacting its operations and revenue. The Italian restaurant, known for its Asian-inspired dishes, has had to rely on electric hot plates, resulting in a reduced menu and a 40% drop in revenue. Co-owners Nikita Levitan and Sabrina Gao have turned to the community for support, launching a GoFundMe campaign that has raised nearly $20,000. The restaurant is in a dispute with its landlord over the necessary repairs to restore gas service.
