Bloomington Launches Accessibility Guides to Enhance Local Business Inclusivity
Bloomington, in partnership with AccessAbleUSA, has introduced detailed accessibility guides for 20 local destinations, including small businesses and cultural venues. This initiative, supported by the city's Economic and Sustainable Development Department, aims to provide comprehensive accessibility information for people with disabilities. The guides offer objective descriptions of features such as entrances, routes, restrooms, and seating, addressing the information gap that often exists for individuals with disabilities. The effort is part of a broader commitment to fostering inclusive spaces and supporting local businesses by increasing their visibility to a wider customer base.
