Senators Cortez Masto and Moran Reintroduce Bill to Aid Human Trafficking Survivors
Senators Catherine Cortez Masto and Jerry Moran have reintroduced legislation aimed at assisting human trafficking survivors in accessing air travel and necessary care. The Jimmy Deal Trafficking Survivors Assistance Act seeks to establish a partnership between TSA agents and anti-human trafficking service providers to help survivors, who often lack identification documents, navigate airport security and reach safety. This initiative honors the late TSA Assistant Federal Security Director Jimmy Deal, who pioneered efforts to assist survivors in Reno, Nevada. The bill is supported by various organizations, including the American Association of Airport Executives and Polaris.
