Family Appeals for Release of Argentine Nanny Detained by ICE in the U.S.
Iliana Noeli Lick, a 30-year-old Argentine nanny, has been detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) since July 11. Lick, who worked in Philadelphia, was detained at the airport while traveling to Kansas City. Her visa had expired, but her partner claims she had applied for an extension and work permit. The family she worked for has publicly appealed for her release, highlighting her positive relationship with their children. Lick's case is pending in immigration court, with her hearing postponed multiple times, leaving her future uncertain.
