Federal Government to Use AI for Writing Job Descriptions, Enhancing Efficiency
The federal government's human resources office has announced the implementation of an artificial intelligence tool, USA Class, to assist in writing federal job postings. This AI model is trained on thousands of existing federal job descriptions, enabling government managers to generate standardized language for various duties. According to OPM Director Scott Kupor, AI is adept at processing large amounts of precedent data to train a language model, which can then be used to create new documents based on specific data input prompts. This initiative is part of the Trump administration's broader strategy to integrate AI into agency operations. Additionally, Google has recently partnered with the US Department of Defense to deploy its AI systems in classified environments, while the White House is preparing a policy memo to establish safeguards for national security agencies.
