El Capitan FFA Student Khyle Aphay Gains National Recognition at Agribusiness Conference
Khyle Aphay, a senior at El Capitan High School in Merced County, California, has been recognized for his leadership and involvement in the Future Farmers of America (FFA). Aphay was selected as one of 75 students nationwide to attend the National FFA Next Generation Agribusiness Systems Conference in Chicago. This selection was based on a competitive application process, highlighting his achievements and potential in the field of agriculture. During the conference, Aphay engaged in various activities, including networking with peers from across the United States, visiting the Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences, and participating in workshops on agribusiness topics such as renewable energy and agricultural finance. His journey in FFA began as a freshman, and he has since grown into a leadership role as the El Capitan FFA Reporter for the 2026-2027 school year.
