Ivanhoe Mines Advances Platreef Project with Key Milestones in South Africa
Ivanhoe Mines, a Canadian mining company, has announced the achievement of significant development milestones at its Platreef mine located in Limpopo, South Africa. The company has completed the construction of the four-million-tonne-a-year Shaft #3, initiated the groundwork for the Phase 2 concentrator site, and commenced the widening of Shaft #2. These developments are part of the Phase 2 expansion and set the stage for a future Phase 3 expansion.
