Representative Paul Tonko Secures Federal Funding for Saratoga Springs Mental Health Clubhouse
U.S. Representative Paul Tonko (D-N.Y.) played a pivotal role in securing over $2.3 million in federal funding through the Community Project Funding (CPF) process for RISE Housing & Support Services in Saratoga Springs. This funding is designated for the renovation and expansion of a building that will house the new Homebase Clubhouse, a voluntary community-based program aimed at supporting adults with mental health challenges. The Homebase Clubhouse, which is patterned after the Clubhouse International model, will offer a structured, work-ordered day, providing opportunities for employment preparation, educational planning, creative arts, wellness programming, social activities, and peer-driven support. The New York State Office of Mental Health also awarded RISE $4.7 million over five years to operate the program, which is set to welcome its first members in January 2027.
