Shiok! Singapore Kitchen Reopens in Menlo Park After Relocation
Shiok! Singapore Kitchen, a beloved local restaurant, has reopened in downtown Menlo Park after being forced to relocate due to the sale of its previous building on Chestnut Street in early 2025. Co-owner Dennis Lim, who has been involved with the restaurant for 13 years, is finalizing the setup of the new location. Originally started by Lim's sister in 1999 in San Carlos, the restaurant quickly gained popularity, prompting a move to a larger space in Menlo Park. However, the sale of the building led to a temporary shift to a takeout-only model in Redwood City. The new location on Oak Grove Ave allows Shiok! to reconnect with its community, offering its unique Singaporean fusion cuisine made from scratch using family recipes.
