Vermont Farm Experiences Rare Birth of Sheep Sextuplets
At Clover & Bee Farm in Underhill, Vermont, a sheep unexpectedly gave birth to six lambs, a rare occurrence in the farming community. Anne O’Connor, who runs the farm with her husband, initially expected the ewe to have twins based on a veterinary checkup. However, the ewe, named Teemu, delivered sextuplets, all of which are healthy. This event is notable as sheep typically have fewer offspring, and such a large number of lambs is considered rare. The farm, which raises sheep for wool and also grows herbs and berries, is now home to 21 sheep, with more expected as other ewes are pregnant.
