Fairfield Police Suspect Foul Play in Disappearance of Chantel Brooks
Fairfield police now suspect foul play in the disappearance of 36-year-old Chantel 'Cici' Brooks, who has been missing for a month. Brooks was last seen on July 17, leaving her job as a desk clerk at Hotel Le Nain in San Francisco at 12:20 a.m., and then at 1:45 a.m. leaving a CVS on East Travis Boulevard in Fairfield. Her whereabouts since then are unknown. Fairfield police confirmed to ABC7 Eyewitness News that Brooks' vehicle, a black 2021 Infiniti SUV, was last detected by a Flock camera in Oakland, but the vehicle has not yet been located. Her family, including her brothers Calvin Robinson, Kevin Robinson, and Omar Hassan, have held events to raise awareness and maintain hope that she is alive, despite the police's recent announcement regarding foul play. Police have not publicly disclosed the specific reasons for their belief that foul play is involved.
