United Airlines Faces Lawsuit Over Alleged Mishandling of Passenger's Oxygen Needs
A 71-year-old Utah man, Jaime Jesus Carvajal, is preparing to file a lawsuit against United Airlines, alleging that the airline mishandled his oxygen needs during a flight, leading to significant health problems. Carvajal, who suffers from chronic obstructive sleep apnea and chronic obstructive asthma, requires oxygen day and night. He claims that despite receiving assurances from United Airlines staff that he could use his breathing device on the flight from Salt Lake City to Houston, the device ran out of charge two hours into the journey. Carvajal states that a flight attendant moved him to a different seat, believing it was an outlet issue, but the device remained non-functional.
