A recent survey conducted by Habitelligence reveals that 91% of homeowners who have invested in home battery systems would make the purchase again, with 71% stating their systems exceeded expectations. The survey highlights that while the initial cost of home batteries can be substantial, often reaching tens of thousands of dollars, the benefits extend beyond mere cost savings. Homeowners report significant advantages such as resilience during power outages and reduced electricity bills, particularly in areas with variable electricity rates. Bobby Pierce, head of marketing at Lunar Energy, notes that the ability to run a significant portion of a home on solar energy is a point of pride for many owners. The survey underscores the importance of considering factors like location, electricity use, and utility rates when evaluating the value of a home battery system.
