Laurie Gillespie, Known as 'L,' Remembered by Bolton Hill Community
Laurie Gillespie, affectionately known as 'L' by her neighbors in Bolton Hill, has passed away at the age of 61. Laurie, who lived in her car on a Bolton Hill street, was known for her friendly interactions with the community despite struggling with mental health issues. Her daughter, McKinley Gillespie, shared her story with neighbors through a note on her car, which became a makeshift memorial adorned with flowers and sympathy cards. Laurie's life was marked by a love for adventure and a struggle with paranoia, which led to her living a nomadic lifestyle.
