Unique Silver Bear Cub Spotted on Katmai National Park Livestream
A distinctive silver-furred brown bear cub was recently spotted on the Katmai National Park bear livestream in Alaska. The cub, seen sitting in the grass, is considered one of the most unique-looking cubs observed on the Katmai cameras. Park rangers attribute the cub's unusual fur color to genetics, noting that the park hosts a variety of fur colors among its bear population. The cub, estimated to be about six months old, was first seen with its mother, bear 677, along the Brooks River. The livestream provides a glimpse into the lives of these bears as they prepare for winter by feasting on salmon.
