Georgia Board Outlines Professional Engineer Licensure Requirements
The Georgia Board for Professional Engineers outlines the stringent requirements for obtaining a Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state. Aspiring engineers must satisfy three primary criteria: education, experience, and examinations. Before applying to the Board, candidates are required to establish an NCEES Record, through which transcripts, exam results, employment verifications, and references are submitted. Education pathways include a four-year or more degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program or a four-year or more degree in engineering technology or a related science from a Board-approved school.
