Peter Lewis Presnall Dillon, a renowned research physicist, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026, at the age of 92. Born in Richmond, Virginia, Dillon was a pivotal figure in the field of imaging technology. He was married to Ann (Wright) Dillon for 52 years until her passing in November 2025. Together, they raised five children and were blessed with 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Dillon's career at Eastman Kodak was marked by significant achievements, including leading a team that invented integral color imaging sensors and single-chip color video cameras. His contributions to technology were recognized with an Emmy Award in Technology and Engineering in 2018 and the IEEE’s Masaru Ibuka Consumer Technology Award in 2022.
