New York City Launches 'Get Online NYC' Campaign to Enhance Digital Equity
New York City's Office of Technology and Innovation has launched the 'Get Online NYC' campaign aimed at improving digital access for residents. The initiative provides resources to help New Yorkers utilize the internet, including a map for locating free computer labs and tools for finding low-cost technology classes, device lending, and free Wi-Fi. Promotional materials are being distributed across over 450 locations in the city, and a free roundtable event is scheduled in Brooklyn. This campaign follows the NYC Digital Equity Roadmap published in March 2025, which outlined actions to enhance digital inclusion, such as appointing a chief digital equity officer and forming a Digital Equity Working Group.
