Jewish Community Faces Strategic Challenges in Combating Anti-Semitism
The Jewish community in the United States is facing a strategic challenge in its efforts to combat anti-Semitism and delegitimization. Despite having ample resources and leadership, the community lacks a unified strategy, which is hindering its ability to effectively address these issues. The current approach is fragmented, with various organizations operating independently, each with its own message and donor base. This lack of coordination contrasts sharply with the well-organized and strategic efforts of those opposing Jewish interests. The community's philanthropic model, which has historically focused on sustaining institutions, is not well-suited to building the influence needed to counter these challenges. There is a call for a shift from emergency to structural giving, emphasizing sustained, multi-year commitments to organizations that shape Jewish public life.
