John Joseph Walsh's Legacy of Service and Education Remembered
John Joseph Walsh, a respected insurance executive and community leader, passed away on July 21, 2026, at the age of 89. Born in Worcester, MA, Walsh was a first-generation American who valued education and service. He attended St. John’s High School on a scholarship and later endowed a scholarship there to support first-generation American students. Walsh served in the U.S. Army in Korea before embarking on a successful career in insurance, eventually becoming an executive vice president and partner at Caddell & Byers Insurance Agency. Known for his expertise and communication skills, he was a sought-after advisor and expert witness in insurance litigation. Beyond his professional achievements, Walsh was deeply committed to his family and community, actively participating in his local parish and volunteering at a food pantry.
