Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas Experiences Cabin Flood, Offers Passengers Future Cruise Credit
A water leak from a jacuzzi on an upper deck of Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas caused significant flooding in a standard inside stateroom on July 28. The incident occurred shortly after the ship departed from Basseterre, St. Kitts, during an eight-night Eastern Caribbean cruise. The flooding affected the cabin and surrounding areas, leading to water damage in the room and personal belongings. Passengers affected by the flood were offered compensation, including a room move and laundry service, while a neighbor received a 50% discount on a future cruise. The ship had undergone a $100 million renovation in 2025, which included new public amenities but did not address plumbing issues. Royal Caribbean has not publicly commented on the incident.
