Kirkland Police Arrest Suspect in $500K Organized Retail Theft Case Impacting Puget Sound Region
Kirkland Police have arrested a suspect believed to be involved in a large-scale organized retail theft operation across the Puget Sound region. The suspect is accused of stealing approximately $500,000 worth of fragrance products and other merchandise from various stores. The arrest followed a months-long investigation by the Kirkland Police Department's ProAct Unit, in collaboration with regional loss prevention professionals and law enforcement agencies. During the arrest, which took place at the suspect's residence in Kent, additional evidence was recovered. The suspect is currently in custody at the King County Jail with bail set at $255,000, and charges of Organized Retail Theft in the First Degree are being forwarded to the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
