King Charles III and Queen Camilla Unveil Memorial Plans for Queen Elizabeth II's 100th Birthday
King Charles III and Queen Camilla have honored the late Queen Elizabeth II on what would have been her 100th birthday by unveiling plans for a memorial in London's St. James's Park. The memorial will feature statues of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, along with a translucent glass 'unity' bridge inspired by the tiara she wore on her wedding day. Additionally, a new charity, The Queen Elizabeth Trust, has been established with a £40 million endowment to support community centers and green spaces. The royal family also participated in various commemorative events, including the opening of the Queen Elizabeth II Garden in Regent's Park by Princess Anne and a reception at Buckingham Palace for representatives of charities supported by the late queen.
