Instagram Expands Verified School Program to Enhance Communication for U.S. Teens and Parents
Instagram is expanding its School Partnership Program, introducing new tools designed to facilitate communication among verified schools, students, and parents within the platform. This initiative transforms school communities into a managed layer within the app, incorporating identity checks, restricted posting permissions, and parental oversight. Schools participating in the program will gain access to Channels for rapid updates, along with School Stories and Notes to reach verified students. Administrators will have the ability to monitor and remove posts, and reports from participating schools regarding potential Community Standards violations will receive prioritized review.
