Buenos Aires International Book Fair Sees 8% Attendance Growth, Highlights Global Literary Engagement
The Buenos Aires International Book Fair concluded its 50th edition with a notable 8% increase in attendance compared to the previous year. Over 1.34 million visitors attended the event, which featured 380 stands and 480 exhibitors from around the world. The fair, organized by Fundación El Libro, included a diverse range of programming across nine auditoriums, focusing on topics such as children's and young adult publishing, streaming culture, and the future of publishing. Peru was the guest of honor, and the event featured prominent international authors like J. M. Coetzee and Mo Yan. The professional conference preceding the fair saw a 21% increase in participation, with 13,067 industry professionals attending.
