Stewart's Shops Introduces New Ice Cream Flavor Honoring Saratoga Couple's Philanthropy
Stewart's Shops has launched a new ice cream flavor named 'Dake’s Passion,' inspired by a Saratoga Springs couple, Mike and Linda Toohey. The couple bid $50,000 at a Saratoga Hospital Foundation gala for the opportunity to name a new ice cream flavor. The flavor, a vanilla base with blueberry and raspberry swirls and an oatmeal cinnamon crumble, is a tribute to the Dake family, founders of Stewart's Shops, for their contributions to the community. The Tooheys, who have long been involved with the Saratoga Hospital and the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, chose the name to honor the Dake family's impact across the region. The new flavor is available in half-gallon sizes for a limited time at Stewart's Shops.
