Park Dae-jun, the CEO of South Korean online retail giant Coupang, has resigned following a significant data breach that compromised the personal information of nearly 34 million customers. The breach was disclosed on November 18, and Park's resignation comes three weeks after the incident was made public. In a statement, Park expressed deep regret for the breach and acknowledged his responsibility in the matter, leading to his decision to step down. Harold Rogers, the Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel, has been appointed as the interim CEO. Rogers aims to address customer concerns and stabilize the organization in the wake of the breach. Park, who joined Coupang in 2012, had been instrumental in the company's business innovations and infrastructure development.
