Hong Kong Weather Observatory Records Highest Temperature Amid Typhoon Dolphin
Hong Kong's weather observatory has reported a record high temperature of 36.9 degrees Celsius, the highest since records began in 1884. This extreme heat is attributed to Typhoon Dolphin, which is sweeping warm air over the city. The typhoon has also led to mass flight cancellations and evacuations along China's east coast. The Hong Kong Observatory issued a 'Very Hot Weather Warning,' advising residents to stay hydrated and avoid strenuous outdoor activities. The temperature in some parts of the city, such as Sheung Shui, reached as high as 39.8 degrees Celsius, marking the highest temperature recorded since the introduction of automatic weather stations in the 1980s.
