Singapore Changi Airport Recognized for Art Installations, Ranks Second Globally
Singapore Changi Airport has been named the world's second-best airport for art by London-based aviation consultancy Skytrax. This recognition places Changi as the only Southeast Asian airport in a category largely dominated by American airports. The ranking is based on Skytrax audits that evaluate airport art and sculpture as tools for customer engagement and enhancing passenger comfort. Changi Airport is renowned for its integration of art and technology, featuring iconic installations like Kinetic Rain in Terminal 1 and Petalclouds in Terminal 4. These installations, along with various nature-inspired sculptures, aim to create a calming and memorable environment for travelers, transforming transit spaces into gallery-like experiences. American airports, including Houston, Denver, San Diego, O'Hare, and San Francisco, also featured prominently in the top ten rankings.
