Film on Tuam Babies to Premiere in Irish Cinemas, Highlighting Historical Tragedy
The film 'The Lost Children of Tuam,' directed by Frank Berry and produced by Liam Neeson, is set to premiere in Irish cinemas next month. The film, which won Best Irish Film at the Galway Film Fleadh, tells the story of the Tuam babies, 796 children who died at a mother and baby home in Ireland between 1925 and 1961. The film follows historian Catherine Corless's research, which uncovered the mass grave and the appalling conditions the children faced. The release aims to bring attention to this historical tragedy and the ongoing efforts to recover and honor the children's remains.
