Mark Lewis to Step Down as CEO of Hospitality Action in 2027 After Nine Years
Mark Lewis will be stepping down from his role as Chief Executive of Hospitality Action in March 2027, concluding a nine-year tenure. Lewis joined the charity in 2017, following 14 years at The Caterer where he served as editor and publisher. Prior to becoming Chief Executive, he also served as a trustee for the organization for 11 years. During his leadership, Lewis guided Hospitality Action through significant industry challenges, including the impacts of Covid, Brexit, and global economic turbulence. His primary focus has been to enhance support services for individuals in the hospitality sector facing crises. Under his direction, the charity expanded its Employee Assistance Programme, developed new fundraising initiatives, and introduced a welfare benefits advice service, which has helped beneficiaries unlock over £1 million in unclaimed benefits. Lewis will remain in his position until March 2027 to help launch the charity's 190th birthday celebrations.
