Virginia Police Implement Real-Time Language Translation in Body Cameras
Fairfax County police in Virginia have introduced new body camera technology capable of translating 57 languages in real time using artificial intelligence. This pilot program, initiated in February, aims to enhance communication between officers and the diverse communities they serve. The technology allows officers to better understand and respond to situations involving non-English speakers, improving the effectiveness of law enforcement and community relations.
