Merz Therapeutics Unveils Research on Parkinson's 'OFF' Episodes at World Congress
Merz Therapeutics presented new research at the World Parkinson Congress 2026, highlighting the complex burden of 'OFF' episodes in Parkinson's disease. These episodes involve a re-emergence of motor and non-motor symptoms, significantly impacting patients' quality of life. The research identified 132 distinct impacts of these episodes, emphasizing the need for comprehensive treatment approaches. Additionally, data on levodopa inhalation powder (INBRIJA®) was presented, showing it as a reliable treatment for these episodes, with a favorable safety profile. The findings aim to broaden the understanding of 'OFF' episodes and improve therapeutic strategies.
