San Francisco Prepares for Marathon and Weekend Events
San Francisco is gearing up for a busy weekend of events from July 24-26, 2026, including the annual San Francisco Marathon. The marathon will take place on Sunday, July 26, with the first wave of runners starting at 5:15 a.m. from Mission Street & The Embarcadero. The event will lead to street closures and rerouting of Muni services across the city. Other events include the Hayes Valley Shared Spaces and the Up Your Alley Street Fair, which will also affect local transit routes. Residents and visitors are advised to plan their travel accordingly to avoid delays.
