North Carolina Lawmakers Tour ABA Therapy Center to Assess Autism Services Access
Legislative staff from the offices of U.S. Senator Thom Tillis and U.S. Senator Ted Budd recently toured an Action Behavior Centers (ABC) facility in Clayton, North Carolina. The visit aimed to observe Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy in action and discuss policy factors influencing access to autism services in the state. ABC, a provider of ABA therapy for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), is actively involved in advocacy efforts to protect and expand these services nationwide. The tour included insights into how individualized ABA therapy helps autistic children achieve goals in social interaction, communication, and independence.
