Texas Truck Driver Killed, Two Injured in Fiery Four-Semi Crash on Tennessee Interstate 65
A fiery multi-vehicle crash involving four semi-trucks on Interstate 65 in Maury County, Tennessee, resulted in the death of a Texas truck driver and injuries to two other drivers. The incident occurred near mile marker 50, where James Ebbinger, 59, of Texas, was driving a 2026 Peterbilt northbound when it crossed the median into the southbound lanes. Ebbinger's truck then collided with three other commercial vehicles. All four semi-trucks subsequently caught fire. The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) identified Ebbinger as the deceased. Two other drivers, Darwin Barthelemy, 48, of Minnesota, and Nichoy Tracey, 36, of Florida, sustained injuries. A fourth driver, a 63-year-old from Alabama, was not injured. The crash led to the closure of both directions of I-65 near Spring Hill for several hours before all lanes were reopened overnight. The THP's investigation into the crash is ongoing.
