Blackstone Products Recalls Ranch Seasoning Sold at Walmart Due to Salmonella Risk
Blackstone Products, based in Providence, Utah, has issued a recall for certain lots of its Blackstone Parmesan Ranch seasoning products. This action follows a recall by California Dairies, Inc. of dry milk powder, which was used as an ingredient in the seasoning. The recall was announced by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) due to the potential risk of salmonella contamination. The affected seasoning was sold exclusively at Walmart stores and through the Blackstone Products website, with sell-by dates of July 2, 2027; August 5, 2027; and August 12, 2027. Although no illnesses have been reported so far, salmonella can cause serious health issues, particularly in young children, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems. Symptoms of salmonella infection include fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain.
