Spring Weather Challenges Hikers in New Hampshire's White Mountains
In New Hampshire's White Mountains, rapidly changing spring weather conditions have posed significant challenges for hikers. According to The Boston Globe, a hiker from West Roxbury, Massachusetts, was found deceased on a trail in Franconia Notch after being reported missing. The hiker, Kent Wood, 61, had embarked on a weekend trip with expectations of warm temperatures and clear skies. However, unexpected snowfall of 3-5 inches occurred between Sunday and Monday, complicating his journey. In the past week, six other hikers from Massachusetts have been rescued from the area, highlighting the unpredictable nature of mountain weather during this season.
