IAF Chief Emphasizes Self-Reliance in Defense Capabilities at Graduation Ceremony
Air Chief Marshal A P Singh, the chief of the Indian Air Force (IAF), highlighted the importance of self-reliance in defense capabilities during the 48th Flight Test Course graduation ceremony. The event, held at the Air Force Test Pilots School, saw the graduation of 17 officers, including 14 from the IAF, one from the Indian Army, and two from the Indian Navy. These graduates will join the Aviation Wing of the Aircraft and Systems Testing Establishment. Singh emphasized 'Atmanirbharta' as a strategic necessity for developing resilient indigenous defense capabilities. He urged the graduates to uphold high standards of safety and quality while optimizing 'design to delivery' time cycles. The ceremony also included the presentation of awards to outstanding graduates, with Squadron Leader K K Singh receiving the 'Suranjan Das Trophy' for best all-round student test pilot.
