Katherine Waterston Joins Paramount+'s Post-9/11 Limited Series 'The Best of Us'
Katherine Waterston has joined the cast of Paramount+'s upcoming six-episode limited series, 'The Best of Us.' The series, currently filming in New York City, is inspired by a legal battle that secured nearly $1 billion in compensation for first responders who became ill after the 9/11 attacks. Waterston will portray Amy Smith, a lawyer and the estranged wife of the lead character, Jason Smith, played by Jeremy Strong. Jason Smith is depicted as a class-action lawyer who risked his career to challenge established institutions, exposing corruption and betrayal while fighting for the 9/11 first responders. The cast also includes Barry Pepper, Andrea Riseborough, Neal Huff, Gaby Hoffmann, Sky Yang, and John Slattery, with guest appearances by LaChanze, Richard Schiff, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Joe Morton, Jen Tullock, William Baldwin, and Keith W.
