Severe Storm Leaves Over 34,000 Without Power in Baltimore Area
A severe storm has caused widespread power outages across Central Maryland, affecting more than 34,000 Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE) customers. The storm, which brought downed wires, broken poles, and fallen trees, hit Baltimore City and surrounding counties the hardest. BGE has been working to restore power, estimating that 80% of affected customers will have service restored by Wednesday night, with full restoration expected by Thursday. Crews are still assessing the damage as they work to repair the infrastructure.
