Rescue of Over 100 Dogs from RV in Nevada Spurs $30K in Donations for Shelter
Authorities in Nevada rescued over 100 dogs from an RV camper, leading to a surge in donations for a local animal shelter. The Mesquite Police Department had received numerous calls about a home with an excessive number of dogs, leading to multiple citations for the homeowner, Giustino Laudando. After being evicted, Laudando returned to Mesquite, where officers recovered 77 dogs from his RV. Further investigation led to the discovery of 33 more dogs, totaling 114. Laudando was arrested and charged with multiple counts of animal cruelty and neglect. The shelter is now working to provide medical treatment and care for the dogs.
