Picasso Etching Stolen in 2018 Returned to Milwaukee Police
A Pablo Picasso etching, titled 'Torero,' stolen from Milwaukee's DeLind Art Appraisals in 2018, has been returned to the city's police department. The etching, part of a limited edition of 30, was valued between $35,000 and $50,000 at the time of its theft. The artwork was found in its original frame, suggesting it was displayed by the thief. The police are now working to return the piece to its rightful owner, though the identity of the person who returned it remains undisclosed.
