Orrville Public Library Expands Spring Events with History and Earth Day Celebrations
The Orrville Public Library has announced a series of new events for its spring calendar, aimed at engaging the local community with educational and environmental activities. Among the highlights is the continuation of the 'Orrville: A Local Story' series, scheduled for April 14, which will delve into the town's history as part of the broader celebration of the United States' 250th anniversary. This event will feature participation from local organizations such as the Orrville Historical Society and the Orrville Railroad Heritage Society. Additionally, in honor of Earth Day, the library will distribute free trees starting April 17, courtesy of the Secrest Arboretum. The Children's Department will also host a scavenger hunt to engage younger patrons. Other activities include a 'Crafternoon' session on May 1 for children in grades 3-6, where they can create tissue paper water lilies, and a Kindergarten Play Lab on April 29 to help prepare children for school.
