Türkiye Outlines Ambitious AI Strategy, Targeting Global Partnerships and Domestic Innovation by 2027
Türkiye has unveiled its 2026-2030 AI Action Plan, coordinated by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, which prioritizes international cooperation and diplomatic outreach in artificial intelligence. The plan aims to position Türkiye as a key player in global AI standard-setting and to facilitate the export of its domestic AI products. By the end of 2027, Türkiye intends to sign bilateral AI cooperation framework agreements with at least five countries and secure memorandums of understanding with at least three international institutions. The nation also plans to launch mutual recognition or conformity cooperation initiatives in at least three target markets.
