Philippines Upskills Construction Workforce with BIM Training for Global Demand
The Philippines is advancing its construction industry by training a core group of master trainers in Building Information Modeling (BIM), a digital system used in major construction projects worldwide. This initiative, part of the International Labour Organization (ILO)-Korea Partnership Programme, aims to equip young Filipinos with digital and green skills, enhancing their job prospects in the global market. The training, conducted from May 18 to 22, focuses on adapting global BIM standards to local needs, improving project management, and ensuring better use of public funds. The program is expected to have a long-term national impact by developing future BIM courses and expanding access to digital construction skills across the country.
