Dayton Nonprofit Providing 'Meals on Wheels' to Close This Summer
Senior Resource Connection, a Dayton-based nonprofit providing 'Meals on Wheels' and other services, announced plans to close in July. The organization has served seniors and disabled residents in the Miami Valley and Montgomery County since 1956, offering personal care, transportation, and daily hot meals. The decision to close follows several years of operating deficits and rising costs, which have jeopardized service quality and stability. Doug McGarry, executive director of the Area Agency on Aging, is working to find alternative providers to continue meal deliveries and home checks.
