Lightning Strike Suspected in Sherwood House Fire
A house fire in Sherwood, Arkansas, on Monday is believed to have been caused by a lightning strike, according to the homeowners. The incident occurred at a residence on Lake Point Cove, where a sudden bolt of lightning struck the home while the parents of the family were inside. The fire quickly engulfed the house, destroying most of the family's possessions. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the parents were able to escape safely. The family, however, is now facing significant financial challenges, as their homeowner's insurance had lapsed prior to the incident. The family has since set up a GoFundMe page to seek community support in rebuilding their lives.
