CNN Promotes Leigh Waldman to Correspondent, Relocating to Los Angeles
CNN has announced the promotion of Leigh Waldman to CNN Correspondent, effective October 12. Waldman will be based in Los Angeles and will report across all CNN platforms, bringing her extensive field reporting experience and background from affiliate newsrooms to the network's domestic news coverage. Previously, Waldman served as a correspondent for CNN Newsource, based in New York, where she reported for CNN's more than 1,000 affiliate partners. During her tenure at CNN Newsource, she covered significant national stories, including the deadly Fourth of July flooding in Central Texas, the impact of hurricanes along the Gulf Coast, school shootings, and the historic launch and return of astronauts aboard Boeing's Starliner. Waldman began her career at CNN as an intern at the network's Atlanta headquarters.
